How do i use my capsule machine

Tap or mineral water?

Tap water contains lime and other minerals. These are deposited in the form of limescale, creating blockages which can damage your coffee machine.

So simply switch to mineral water and the problem goes away?

Wrong!

Even mineral water can have a high lime content. Indeed, depending on its source, some can even contain more lime than tap water. The result: whether you use tap water or mineral water, your capsule machine will need occasional descaling.

Try the hardness test

You can find out how much lime there is in your local tap water by measuring the hardness – use a titration set which is easily obtainable from an aquarium retailer. Or contact your water supplier and inquire about the hardness of the tap water in your area.

For pure enjoyment

The better the water quality, the purer and more enjoyable your chosen K-fee beverage. The claro SWISS water filter prevents scale build-up as well as filtering out many additional substances which can impact taste and odour. The minerals and fluorides important to your health are naturally allowed to remain. Using a water filter also improves the performance of your machine and extends its service life.
